About the Event

The only carboot and craft market in the north of the city!!

Come along and join us for our first full season.

Pitches are just £5 and no booking is required.

To get the season started with a bang, in April, you can pitch for just ONE POUND.... yes, that's just £1!!!!!!!

Parking is available onsite, and donation buckets will be out around the site should you wish to make a small donation to Stamshaw Schools PATCH.

Remember all our events are run entirely by volunteers, so 100% of the money we make goes straight back into the charity to support the Stamshaw schools so by support our events, you are also supporting an amazing cause.

Please see below for our FAQ fact sheet and if you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch on stamshawschoolspatch@outlook.com

What time does it start?

Traders are asked to arrive from 7am, the Final Cut off being 7.55am. General buyers are asked to arrive from 8am.

What time does it end?

Trading ends at 12pm.

How much do pitches cost for traders?

Pitches are £5 each for cars.

Does the carboot raise money for charity?

Yes! All funds raised from the carboot go directly to Stamshaw Schools Patch registered charity number 1201614.

Do buyers have to pay an entry fee?

No, the car boot is FREE entry for all general buyers!

Can I leave early?

No, Vehicle movement is restricted until 11.30 to maintain a safe environment. Traffic Marshall’s will escort you off site in an emergency, or when a safe window becomes available after 11.30am.

Where should I enter the site?

Stamshaw junior school. Head right out of walker road into the dead end road. You will enter the site through the emergeny services vehicle entrance gate. Where should I exit the site?

The same way you entered the site, this will be marshalled to ensure it’s safe for you to leave.

What if I am running late, can I still get a space?

7.55am is the cut off for traders arrival.

Are there toilets available on site?

Toilets are located close by to the selling area and sign posted.

Can I unload my car and go home for more goods?

Unfortunately not, due to the lay out of the boot sale, once a car is parked it will need to stay until the vehicle movement opens. If you have more items that will fit in one car we suggest bringing a second car or doing multiple boot sales.

Can I leave unsold items on site?

Yes, if you’d like to donate items to stamshaw schools patch, we will happily receive any good quality donations. Please speak to a member of the committee before leaving any items though. At this time we are unable to accept books, dvds or cds.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, we have a catering van coming along, selling various breakfast items and we will be doing our own refreshments!

Is there parking on-site for buyers?

We have parking on site, however we’d always recommend walking, or travelling by public transport if possible, if you need to drive there is some parking on site for a small donation. On street parking in the nearby area is restricted to two hours. Alternative parking can be found at Mountbatten centre and Portsmout Park and ride, both within walking distance.

What can't I sell?

Strictly no counterfeit goods to be sold. It is illegal to sell counterfeit food in the U.K. and stamshaw schools patch carboot is no exception.

Other non-permitted items: No waste transfer, no knives including kitchen knives, no lighters/no smoking devices including E cigarettes, pipes, Rizzler papers, lighters, cigars, chewing tobacco and no other smoking related items, alcohol, wine or spirits, firearms, air rifles, BB guns, or other dangerous weapons, prescription/pharmacy medicines, fireworks, explosives or other flammable items.
